![]() ![]() They had already designed so many new enemies and bosses that the idea of create a sequel, rather than just additional contentbegan to germinate. Time passed and the developers' ambitions grew. The DLC was to allow the player to redo the whole of Hollow Knight, but in control of Hornet, the "rival" of the player's knight. This was one of the goals when Team Cherry launched a Kickstarter to fund the game. ![]() Hollow Knight Silksong was originally intended to be Hollow Knight DLC. Why hasn't Hollow Knight Silksong been released yet? We had no news on 24 February 2023, but all is not lost for the anniversary of the licence. Fans are therefore expecting the game to be released in February, preferably with an announcement on the 14th and a release date of 24th February 2023. The announcement of Silksong and its very first trailer have been unveiled 14 February 2019. The first Hollow Knight was released on 24 February 2017. The most common theory regarding the release of Silksong is that it was Valentine's Day. That said, we are of course not immune to delays and postponements, but since we have not had any further information or denials from the developers, there is no indication that plans have changed. The Mary Sue has a strict comment policy that forbids, but is not limited to, personal insults toward anyone, hate speech, and trolling. As this presentation took place on 12 June 2022, this means that Silksong should be released before 12 June 2023, at the latest. Silksong will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Game Pass, Humble, and GOG.com. Until that date comes, maybe I’ll revisit Hollow Knight and attempt some of the more difficult challenges to prepare for Silksong. This means that if you have Game Pass, you’ll be able to play the game for free as soon as it’s out! And when exactly is release day? Well, Team Cherry did say it would be ready when it’s ready, and since it’s not ready, there’s no release date yet. The surprise, though, comes from the game being a Day One launch on Xbox Game Pass. That’s not too surprising, as the original Hollow Knight is available right now. No way in HELL.Īlong with this new trailer came the announcement of Silksong coming to Xbox Game Pass. From the footage, it looks like her travels are less bleak than the Knight’s were, but I’m betting this kingdom has its fair share of secrets (and, potentially, another daunting Buzzsaw Castle). We’re not sure who has captured Hornet or why she’s been captured, but we do know that she’s going to be ascending to reach the top of a kingdom. ![]()
